The North West of Mallorca
The beautiful Traumantana Mountains and dramatic pine-clad coastline make this one of the most picturesque parts of Mallorca.
There are a few small developments in the Soller area and apart from that the area is mostly mountain villages and small towns. There are some stunning country properties and villas too. Perhaps the most famous location is Deia, a small town overlloking the sea about half way up the north west coast. Puerto de Soller and Soller Old Town are also well-known and provides the main shopping locations as well a a wide range of local bars and excellent restaurants.
The area is steeped in local culture and tradition so if you are looking for a real get-away from the more touristy side of Mallorca there is lots of scope here. As well as relaxing, the area is famous for walking and for cycling. There are pleny of hotels, bars and excellent restaurants dotted around the mountains and in the villages - a great area for exploring!
